How it works

One tap in the morning. Answers all day.

1Remember what was said

Your Apple Watch listens during the hours you choose, even with your iPhone left behind. One tap in the morning, and it stops on its own. Our in-house ultra-light speech model runs right on the watch and keeps only the moments when someone is talking.

2Organized for you

Your iPhone turns the speech into text on the device, keeps no audio, and picks out the to-dos, deadlines and meetings. It can also tell what you said from what others said.

3Private by default

Your memories stay on your iPhone, and answers use Apple’s on-device model. You can choose your own cloud API later; nothing is sent until you allow it.

Devices

Your watch doesn’t need your phone nearby.

Apple Watch listens on its own, all day. What it hears waits on the watch and goes to your iPhone every two hours, and if your iPhone isn’t around, it catches up as soon as the two reconnect, say when you get home in the evening. Your iPhone never has to stay connected.

  • Apple Watch Best

On your wrist all day, with no phone needed.

  • Just an iPhone

No Apple Watch? Your iPhone can listen on its own.

  • Both together

One timeline for the day. What both heard shows once, and if the watch stops, your iPhone can take over.

It starts with Apple Watch and iPhone: every device that listens adds to one memory.

Battery

Listens all day. Barely touches the battery.

A professional-grade, ultra-light speech model built in-house: just 2,561 parameters, running on our own accelerated inference kernels and making a call every tenth of a second, right on the watch.

Only speech is kept. Silence, keyboards and fans are filtered out before they cost any battery. Everything from the architecture to the kernels was designed for the watch, drawing on our doctoral research in AI acceleration.

Voices

Knows your voice. Tells everyone else apart.

Read five short cards once, about a minute, and everything you say is marked Me. Everyone else in the conversation gets a number of their own, Other 1, Other 2 and on, so your promises and the ones made to you never get mixed up.

  • Several speakers in one conversation, each told apart
  • To-dos know whose promise it was
  • Speaker recognition for an hour of talk in 4.4 seconds
  • Your voiceprint stays on your iPhone. Other voices are never stored.

Optional and off by default. Speed based on internal testing on iPhone 17 Pro Max.

Languages

Switch languages mid-conversation. It keeps up.

Pick up to three working languages. DayRecall detects every switch and transcribes each part in the language it was spoken in. Lines in the other languages can then be translated into yours.

  • Up to three languages in one conversation
  • Each part transcribed in its own language
  • Translated into your language
  • Language identification for an hour of talk in about 32 seconds

Multilingual transcription is an advanced setting, off by default. Speed based on internal testing on iPhone 17 Pro Max. The app itself comes in 13 languages.

Features

Made for the details you’d otherwise lose

To-dos you confirm

Promises, deadlines and meetings are picked out of your day. Nothing reaches your calendar or Reminders until you say yes.

Ask in your own words

What did Sam promise? When is the report due? Every answer shows where it came from, down to the line that was said.

Any day, at a glance

See a day as a timeline, flip back through past days, and search everything you’ve heard.

A plan for the week

Each week, the deadlines and promises ahead in one place. You pick what goes on your calendar.

Places, if you want them

See where each conversation happened on a map of your day. Off until you turn it on.

Hand a day to your AI app

For a deeper look, send a day’s transcript to the AI app you use, as a text file, only when you choose.

Privacy

Text only. On your iPhone. Your call.

Text only, no audio kept

What’s said is turned into text on your iPhone. The audio is cleared automatically once it’s transcribed, and isn’t kept.

No account, no server of ours

There’s nothing to sign up for, and we don’t run servers that see your day.

Nothing leaves without you

Answers use Apple’s on-device model. Handing a day to an AI app, or using your own cloud API, happens only when you allow it.

All questions

What is DayRecall?

DayRecall is an AI memory app for Apple Watch and iPhone, made for people who forget things. During the hours you choose, it listens, keeps what was said as text on your iPhone, and answers questions about your day with the exact words and where they came from.

Do I need an Apple Watch?

No. DayRecall works best with Apple Watch, and your iPhone can also listen on its own. When both listen, your day is one timeline, and what both heard is shown once.

Does DayRecall keep audio recordings?

No. What’s said is turned into text on your iPhone, and the audio is cleared automatically once it’s transcribed. Only the text is kept.

Where is my data, and who can see it?

On your iPhone, and in its backup if you use one. There’s no account and no DayRecall server, so we can’t see it. Answers use Apple’s on-device model, and nothing leaves your iPhone unless you choose to use your own cloud API or hand a day to an AI app.
